‘Le Repaire’ was the Professional space of the 2009 festival, place to exchange and to meet for puppeteers from all over the world, a meeting space for companies. This is a dedicated territory where puppet arts declined under all their forms will get together to think about the concerns of our contemporary society. Conferences, round tables, were animated by actors of the cultural,
economic and social life. Open free hands and scenes put the puppet at the center of our debates. An informative, convivial place (with its bar and its animations), a caustic and sassy place!
Who acts behind us in the dark, whom advances masked, draws the strings, acts, interferes, hides, and emerges?

The scenography of the place was entrusted, with the support of the ORCCA, to the collective resulting from the 7th promotion of the students from the “ESNAM” school left in June 2008.

Meetings and debates of 10am to 1pm:
* Saturday the 19th/09: “To walk through young creation: solidarity with use, the Alsacian exemple” organized by TJP (CDN of Alsace) and ‘La Ville est un Théâtre’.
* Sunday the 20th/09 : “The Off under construction: perspective, development, structuring”
* Monday the 21st/09: “The Puppet in the center of the Cinema” projections and presentations of short films about puppets with the cinema. Meeting organized and animated by ‘La Pellicule Ensorcelée’. www.lapelliculeensorcelee.org
* Tuesday the 22nd/09: “To film or not to film: question of the European networks for the puppet” with the point contact - Europe, in the guise of Wallonia - Brussels Theater - dance (WBTD).
* Wednesday the 23rd/09: “The new wave of Quebec” (in partnership with the Festival Three days of Casteliers in Montreal)
* Thursday the 24th/09: “To program the puppet: to raise the brakes, to widen possible”. A debate organized by the ORCCA and THEMAA.
* Friday the 25th/09: Experimental Theatre / Objects Theatre, original artists free from all tradition, invent a new puppet style in Holland. Organized and animated by the TIN (Theater Instituut Nederland).
* Saturday the 26th/09: Presentation “News from Chile” and “PiemonteDalVivo, être marionnette”

* Saturday the 19th/09: “Mechanisms of the contemporary crisis”
* Sunday the 20th/09: “To moralize capitalism or the re-create?”
* Monday the 21st/09: “Origins of the crisis, devastations of the liberal doctrines”
* Tuesday the 22nd/09:”Change All: some tracks and ideas between Realism and Utopia”
In partnership with “La Nef, manufacture d’utopies” animated by Helene Trudjman, Economist Paris VIII. Puppeteers: Pascale Blaison, Nicolas Goussef, Jean-Louis Heckel. Double bass: Anne Gouraud.
* Wednesday the 23rd/09: “What a cultural policy today?” Debate animated by Jean-Marc Adolphe, director of the review Movement.
* Friday the 25th/09: “Does the puppeteer militant still exist? Where and how new Karagöz and other Pulchinella operate?” Animated debate and Co-directed by Nicolas Roméas, director of the Cassandre review.

The Instantaneous ones: From September 19th to 26th, the Théâtre de la Marionnette à Paris and the World Festival of the Puppet theaters join to present a platform where the artists, French or foreigners, have the occasion to reveal the first steps of their future creations. www.theatredelamarionnette.com

Free hands: models projects and building sites in progress. According to a protocol “Whomanipulateswho?” defined by la NEF and to get at the office. Three projects of 30 minutes.
